-----Original Message----- From: MC [Address on file -ED] Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 12:36 PM To: 'CWM' Subject: Comments at CWM ServerJust wondering why my comments are not allowed on your comments page, I am interested in what your site has to say but however find it annoying that I cannot leave a comment there Thanks for your time[When the Comment's Page on the website becomes too large we "clear the deck" and start again - ED] -----Original Message----- [ As found at http://www.christian-witness.org/archives/php_cwm/cwmguest.php -ED] I have just read one of your articles [ http://www.christian-witness.org/aog/hillsong0.html) -ED] that refer to Pat Mesiti and the apparent cover up of his "fall", also the negative and judgemental tone of the article, which seemed to be lifted from an article in one of Sydneys newspapers. [Sydney Morning Herald -ED] I am not a fan of Pat Mesiti but I do aknowledge the great impact he has had on a number of peoples lives throughout the earth, ranging from a lonely high School student in Sydneys west to a similiar story in almost [sic]evry country in the world. His efforts with youth alive, teen challenge and other organisations needs to be applauded. I notice not once in your article gloating over his demise was any of this mentioned. [ Unfortunately as the Bible points out, even one small wrong sin wipes out ALL our other good works- in God's eyes. Hence the need to repent & be forgiven by God. -ED ] All of us have our failings not one [sic]opf us 100% fulfil the characteristics of the perfect being. But we all need to learn trhat none of us are out of reach of the schemes of the enemy. I also notice the doubt that is inferred to the marriage of Brian and Bobbie Houston, it seems your contributor will not be happy until all large and successful ministies fall by the wayside and we revert back to the good old days when moral failings were hidden from everybody and people are moved sideways into other areas of the church. [Y]Tou need to get out more the so called mansion of Pat Mesitis ministries was a quite modest home in surburban Sydney that was built by Huxley Homes, I notice that you contributor did not research whether the office was leased or owned. Your article just seemed to fail in all areas of unbiased journalism or was it rather an opinion piece? I pray that you have all lived your lives to a similir standard that you want others to live and if you have have or are having small "falls" you will do the right thing and confess [sic]iot before us all on the web site. [ Of course, we confess we are in the same boat. As the Bible points out, even one small wrong sin wipes out ALL our other good works- in God's eyes. Hence the need to repent & be forgiven by God. Sometimes this needs to be daily! -ED ] Thanks for your time And I know my typing is absolutely terrifying [Name & Address on file -ED] Dear CWM, [As received by email -ED] Thank you so much for your persistence in exposing something that is so true but when I started to say it years ago people thought I was, well a disenter, and not having a good report.that the modern day church has become apostate and the pentacostal denomination is the power arm of it. I know, I have seen both extremes. being brought up in a staunch Baptist home I know the barreness of a religion who "have a form of righteousness but deny the power" and the foolishness of people who do not deny the power but deny the scripture through their actions. I freely donated my money and time when the now called "hillsong" at waterloo enlisted support for their vision of having a home church. But when I lost my home and everything I had because of them I was told by Frank Huston that he would pray for me. Well Big deal!. I had to live up the blue mountains in a tent on my own and all he could do was "pray for me. well if his prays were so helpfull he wouldnt have needed my or anyone elses money to buld his home(church)thank Jesus Christ for saving me out of such a wicked establishment. I could go on so much about the things Ive experience in many so called christian churches. but space forbids. I could write a book.Of course most have said "there is no such thing as a perfect church" and rightly so, however Gods requrement is that "by their fruit you shall know them" not their works or gifts and "you shall know them by their love for one another" so no perfect churches but THEIR SHOULD BE LOVE other wise Gods says they are not his!!mine is not an isolated case. I refuse to go to church anymore and yet I so need the support of other true Christians. Where are they? hiding? I dont blame them . mine is not an isolated case. Will the real Christian please stand up?!!! [Name withheld -- ED] [ TOP ] ... [ Others ] ... [ BACK ] Did NOT appear in any Issue of CETF |
