BIBLE COLLEGE - BIBLE COURSES
Several people have inquired from time to time whether CWM has a Bible College or any intentions to form one. Thought was to establish one in Brisbane, Australia, but it is too big an undertaking for us at the moment (July 2002).
For those serious about Bible College/Courses we recommend our link with MORIEL - South Africa branch.(www.moriel.co.za)
The College web-site:- http://myweb.absa.co.za/alistair.gordon/ acc.mbc.ecv/Moriel/index.htm (URL may have separated in transit)

Verses which point to a
Rapture

How do we know there will be a
"Second Coming", separate from the "Rapture"?

CWM teaches that 10% tithing is an Old Testament requirement for Israel, that is NOT taught or required in the New Testament.
It was practiced in Israel as a means to support a theocratic
government and parallels our Tax system in most western societies.
All of
the various tithes equate to about 23% of an employed man (family) in Israel
at the time the law was being practiced.
We do not object to the "tithing" (10%) practice in the Church as a sort of
fair means of distribution, but we insist that it is NOT obligatory but
entirely voluntary.
The New Testament pattern was to lay aside as the Lord "prospered"
and it was to be given cheerfully and without pressure or any obligation. We
are totally against the strong emphasis that many churches place on monitory
giving.
The only blessing that is promised as a direct result of giving is
when we give to the poor and this is the only basis of the idea of planting
seeds and reaping "a harvest".
It is more blessed to give than to receive
BUT most churches have reversed that to read "IT is more blessed to US to
receive than to give."
Apologetics:
CWM is often asked whether we have asection dealing strictly with Apologetics. As we strive to identify & warn you of the practices of some Shepherds, we find that we often do not get time to write our own set of Apologetics statements.
However by using our
SEARCH field you can find what we have in this field. A good article to start with is
"Escatology"
An excellent witness statement is found
