| My name is Douglas Dean, from Gainesville, Florida. Can you offer any words of advice? I helped to start a ministry here about 12 years ago that quickly prospered into a congregation of about 1,500. However, the pastor created a government whereby he became the "Apostle", the "Spiritual Father", and so forth. Of course, those of us who could not "buy into" this left the church, and have been berated as "covenant-breakers" and "divorcees" ever since. I plan on writing a response to this "fatherhood" message for posting on the web. I will also advertise this site in the religion section of the local newspaper, where those within the church can be directed. Honestly, I have found a good assembly and would prefer to leave this behind me, but the deception is strong in this town and needs to be exposed. Any thoughts on this predicament?
ED. Since receiving this letter we have learned that this is a worldwide problem so we plan to publish an article on BIBLICAL CHURCH GOVERNMENT in Vanguard when we will deal with this subject.
