"Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret unto His servants the prophets" --Amos 3:7 (NKJ) AT the end of July David Wilkerson, who has spoken as a true prophet many times, together with the support of his pastoral staff at Times Square Church (New York), cancelled all scheduled programmes and called the congregation to prayer because they sensed a calamity was about to occur . Aware of the fact that scripture never leaves us without an answer, Siam Bhayro writes of the significance of Sept 11 and how we should react to it. Those events have irreversibly changed our world as is acknowledged by a number of world leaders, but what of the Church at large? Some years ago my late paternal uncle, David Powell said he had seen in a dream the Australian AoG movement "crumbling like a pack of cards". Why? Because of the lack of moral strength in some of its prominent leaders. The recent public announcement that Pat Mesiti, front man for the motley mix arrogantly named Australian Christian Churches, has been guilty of immoral behaviour plus the disclosure that SCBC Sydney maybe up for grabs could be early indications of this eventuality. Mesiti's fall is just the most recent of many men who held or hold high office in Pentecostal circles. In addition this issue puts the spotlight upon the one-time godly AoG Pentecostal/Charismatic movements in UK, South Africa, and the USA in both satirical and serious vein. We make no apology for using satire, which is a literary device frequently used in scripture. If the prophets of old employed it why shouldn't we? Solemn reading. Please don't miss the message. God bless you,
