Not forsaking our own assembling together ... but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near Hebrews 10:25 AustraliaWe encourage those of you who are not fellowshipping to make every effort to join with those who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart. In an effort to assist those who are currently churchless we have listed (at right) contacts to some Australian churches and fellowships whose doors are open to all. A more comprehensive list is available on our website [www.christian-witness.org/ cwmf/cwmf.html] where addresses and meeting times are detailed. We invite pastors and others who are leading home groups in Australia and New Zealand, to contact us for inclusion on this list, by emailing Sam Cope < fellowship@christian-witness.org >with details of your services/meetings. A similar plan is being formulated in the UK ConferencesOur conference weekends are always wonderful times of fellowship, and were pleased to say that there are two such weekends planned next year in Australia, God willing. Bill Randles will again be joining us in March and Dave Hunt will be visiting New Zealand in August and then Australia in September. We encourage you to come and join usInsight to Life CWMs Insight to Life TV program is still being aired on Channel 31, Brisbane every Sunday at 3pm, when you can hear Bill Randles, Philip Powell or Aeron Morgan preaching the old fashioned Gospel. This will continue as the Lord directs and provides. Weve had tremendous and encouraging feedback from viewers who have been blessed and have then contacted us after seeing the program. Our thanks to those who have given monies to have this program aired in other states. We are getting close, but further support is required before we can commit to going to air in Sydney and Melbourne. We will happily list a sponsoring Churchs details on the relevant aired program(s). Please contact our Australian office for more information on how you can help with this outreach. Great BritianThose who feared the LORD spake often one to another: ... they shall be mine, saith the LORD ... when I make up my special treasure... Malachi 3:16-17.THE CWM-UK Working Party (WP) that was formed at Whitby last year was re-established at the Bawtry gathering. The purpose of the WP is to serve the body in facilitating fellowship throughout the UK and will function, God willing, until the next convention/conference. Those who agreed to serve on the Working Party are as follows:
Our vision is NOT to establish a denominational structure but a simple system of fellowship, mainly through networking with those of like-precious faith. To this end the purpose of the CWM-UK Working Party is to serve the body in facilitating fellowship throughout the UK. This will be done through four specific means. 1. NetworkingThe CWM-UK Working Party is looking to set up a website in the near future. This website will help believers find fellowship and support within the UK and will be linked to the CWM website, where a number of fellowships in Australia are already listedThese will include churches, housegroups, occasional Bible studies and so on. Those who would like their meeting to be listed should contact Jim Cottington (Jim@crawleynewlifechurch.org.uk) who will liase with his counterpart in Australia and any other country that joins in this vision. 2. Regional meetingsThe CWM-UK Working Party is looking to organise regional one-day conferences to bring like-minded believers together for fellowship and teaching. The next will be: Crawley, Sussex Saturday November 1st 10.30am to 4pm. Contact Jim Cottington for more details (Jim@crawleynewlifechurch.org.uk). Those wanting to organise a meeting in their area should contact Alan Nunn (alan@christian-ministries.freeserve.co.uk).3. SupportThe CWM-UK Working Party is looking to co-ordinate the establishing and maintaining of effective support for believers, especially those involved in leading fellowships and those who are cut off from regular fellowship. This is of course dependent upon the involvement of like-minded believers. If you are able to support local believers in this way, or you are in need of such support, please contact Jim Cottington (Jim@crawleynewlifechurch.org.uk).4. National ConferenceThe dates for the next CWM Conference have been changed to October 18-22, 2004 at Sneaton Castle, Whitby, God willing. Due to limited accommodation, bookings will be on a first come, first served basis. Please contact Alan Nunn < alan@christian-ministries.freeserve.co.uk > for registration forms and if you want to invite Philip Powell and/or Siam Bhayro as a speaker at your fellowship around these dates. Ministerial Certificates and Marriage Registration: CWM has forged a link with the Christian Ministerial Association (CMA) in UK through which we can offer ordination and credentialing opportunities for those in ministry. It is planned to register this in Australia and if required in NZ so that pastors can be recognised through CWM to perform marriages. For more information, please contact CWM at < fellowship@christian-witness.org > [ TOP ] ... [ Part 2 ] ... [ BACK ] Appeared in Issue CETF 9.1 September 2003 |
