SUMMARY:
This short study shows that the Mormon Jesus of “this dispensation” is inferior to the Jesus of the Bible. The Mormon Jesus presents the Mormon church with complex scriptural and philosophical problems that makes their position untenable. The conclusion is unavoidable — the Mormon church has another Jesus and another gospel (Galatians 1:6; 2 Corinthians 11:4) just on this one point alone.

By ED BARCLAY

IN part one I concluded with a question and response, “Is Mormonism Christian? Categorically NO!”
As I studied Mormonism in depth and actually sat among them, it became apparent that these people think they are worshipping the one true God and that theirs is the only true “church” on earth.
Consider this statement made on 20 June 1998, as reported by the Mormon church’s own news, by the current Mormon Church President Gordon B Hinckley, who is regarded as a divinely inspired Prophet (not that he has ever prophesied anything) Seer, and Revelator.
“In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, Presi-dent Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-Day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ. No I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this Dispensation of the Fullness of times. He, together with the Father, appeared to the Boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages.
Am I a Christian?
Of course I am.
I believe in Christ.
I talk (sic) Christ.
I pray through Christ.
I’m trying to follow him and live his gospel in my life.”
— LDS Church News Archives Saturday, June 20, 1998)
What an incredulous statement to make and from one who is supposedly a prophet!

In this article I will emphasise some “unique” Mormon teachings about the person of Christ and compare them with traditional Christianity then briefly comment on their link to the Mormon Temple and what takes place in it.
In part 3 we will look at other Mormon doctrines, especially as they relate to their secret Temple washings, anointings and oaths taken for the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods.

I will also address a concern about the current Evangelical and Mormon dialogue and its inevitable conclusion, as I see it, of Evangelicals accepting Mormons as being “Christian”.
We are living in perilous times when it is high time for those who accept the Bible as our final authority to take a stand for TRUTH and to voice our concerns.
A number of questions need to be raised in the light of President Hinckley’s statement (refer above) He makes a distinction between the “traditional Christ” and the “Christ of the new Dispensation.”
It is obvious that for Hinckley the Christ of this “new dispensation” is the correct one because he has been “fully revealed”.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 that many false Christs will come and will deceive many.
Why?
It is to turn people from the true gospel and lead them to the very pit of hell.
And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no one deceives you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that you are not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in various places. All these [are] the beginning of sorrows. Then they shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And many shall be offended, and shall betray one another and shall hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold — Matthew 24:4-12.
Most of the cults use terms that are synonymous with those with which we are familiar, e.g. the Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW) use the name “Jesus”.
Yet by their very own doctrine Jesus Christ is not the Son of God, but the Archangel Michael, and their rendering of John chapter 1 verse 1 makes Jesus “a god”.
This is why it is so necessary today to DEFINE TERMS; in other words, we must ask, “What do you mean by that term”?
Repeatedly I have found it necessary to do this when dealing with other religions, such as Roman Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists, and now even so called Pentecostals who follow the Word of Faith teaching (WOF) of Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer and the cult of Benny Hinn, whose concepts of Jesus Christ are not orthodox.
Let me explain:
Kenneth Copeland claims that when Jesus died, He became a slave of Satan as an “emaciated wormy being”.
He then goes on to say that even he, i.e. Kenneth Copeland, as a born again man could have taken the place of Jesus and died in our place for the sin of mankind.
This teaching is in a tape series called Classic Redemption, tape title “What Happened from the Cross to The Throne”.
To an orthodox Bible believing Christian this is utter heresy.
However Copeland gets away with it and each year his ministry grows as do those of Joyce Meyer and Benny Hinn to the extent of reported earning in excess of $90 million US dollars a year.
My how Jesus must weep, as the wrath of God keeps growing and growing!
In reality it boils down to those Christians who have been deceived by these hirelings so that they listen only to what they want to hear, just as the Bible predicts:
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts, having itching ears, they shall heap up for themselves teachers 2 Timothy 4:3.
It saddens me to see the AOG in Australia, which is led by Brian Houston going down the WOF line.
Recently the secular press has published a number of articles about Houston and Hillsong.
One reported a grubby deal by the Houstons, who sold property to their own tax-free ministry company for a total profit of close to $700,000.
When is the church ever going to learn!
The rot has set in!
The defining of terms is critical when you engage a person from a cult.
By defining a term you can show the person that who they claim Jesus is doesn’t line up with the biblical Jesus.
If President Gordon B Hinckley’s idea that their Mormon “Jesus Christ” of this dispensation is superior, then it will show up in his assumptions.
On the other hand if it is shown that their “Jesus” is in fact inferior, then the Mormon church has huge problems in terms of doctrine and method of salvation.
In the Mormon teaching manual called Gospel Principles, which is like a Roman Catholic catechism, at chapter 2 on page 11 we are told that men and women are literally the “sons and daughters of the deity”; that man is a spirit being who was begotten and born of our heavenly parent called Elohim and his goddess wife, who surprisingly is never named.
It goes on to say that we are all related through a common parent and that the first offspring of Elohim was Jesus Christ.
To compound their problem this god called Elohim came from a planet called “Kolob” with his goddess wife.
There is even a hymn dedicated to this in their church hymnal! (Hymn number 284: “If you could Hie to Kolob”)1
In the church’s standard works called Doctrine and Covenants, section 93 verse 21 says:
“And now, verily I say unto you, I was in the be-ginning with the Father and am the Firstborn”.
This section was supposedly a revelation given to Joseph Smith at Kirtland, Ohio on May 6th 1833. Any revelation, as the Bible commands, must be tested and if it is found to contradict scripture, then it must be thrown out.
In chapter 11 of Gospel Principles page 64 we read that Jesus is the only person on earth to be born of a mortal mother and an immortal Father and that is why he is called the only Begotten Son.
In chapter three of the same book the plan of salvation was allegedly presented before the “Council of gods” (yes you read correctly) and “Heavenly Father” asked the question, “whom shall I send”? Two of the brothers offered to help. The oldest brother was Jesus Christ (called Jehovah) and the other brother was Lucifer. (Yes the Mormon church teaches that Satan and Jesus are brothers, and if you want to extrapolate the argument even further then you and I are also related to Satan and all his host of demons.) To continue their argument, Jesus was chosen over Satan because Satan wanted to enforce his will on all people whereby no one would have a free will (Mormons call this free will, free agency). Jesus suggested that everyone should have this free agency so that they could have the right to choose over good and evil so that they could work out their own salvation. Jesus was chosen and thus ordained to be the Saviour of the world. Here are some other related quotes from the Mormon church:
Brigham Young, second president of the church, (1847-1877) Prophet, Seer and Revelator in Journal of Discourses volume 13 Page 282, wrote:
Who will redeem the earth, who will go forth and make the sacrifice for the earth and all things it contains?” The eldest son said: “Here am I;” but he did not say, “send me”. But the second one, which was “Lucifer, son of the morning,” said, “Lord, here am I, send me, I will redeem every son and daughter of Adam and Eve that lives on the earth, or that ever goes on the earth.” “But,” says the Father, “that will not answer at all. I give each and every individual his agency; all must use that in order to gain exaltation in my kingdom; inasmuch as they have the power of choice they must exercise that power. They are my children; the attributes, which you see in me are in my children and they must use their agency. If you undertake to save all, you must save them in unrighteousness and corruption. Who will be the man that will say to the thief on the cross, to the murderer on the gallows, and to him who has killed his father, mother, brothers, and sisters and little ones, “Now, if you will say, I repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, or on the Saviour of the world, you shall be saved?” This is what all the religious sects of the day are saying now, but Jesus did not say any such thing.
Spiritual blindness is so strong, that it is only by the power of the true Holy Spirit that they are able to be set free.
Orson Hyde: Apostle, wrote in Journal of Discourses volume 2 page 21, Jesus Christ was married at Cana of Galilee that Mary, Martha, and others were his wives, and that he begat children.
Joseph Fielding Smith, tenth church president (1970-72) Seer and Revelator wrote in Doctrines of Salvation volume 1 page 18,
CHRIST NOT BEGOTTEN OF HOLY GHOST.
I believe firmly that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God in the flesh. He taught this doctrine to his disciples. He did not teach them that he was the Son of the Holy Ghost, but the Son of the Father. Truly, all things are done by the power of the Holy Ghost.
It was through this power that Jesus was brought into this world, but not as the Son of the Holy Ghost, but the Son of God. Jesus is greater than the Holy Spirit, which is subject unto him, but his Father is greater than he! He has said it. Christ was begotten of God. He was not born without the aid of Man, and that Man was God!
Brigham Young again wrote in Journal of Discourses Vo1ume 1 Page 51,
What a learned idea! Jesus, our elder brother, was begotten in the flesh by the same character that was in the Garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven. Now, let all who may hear these doctrines, pause before they make light of them, or treat them with indifference, for they will prove their salvation or damnation.
Joseph Fielding Smith, sixth president of the church (1901-1918), Prophet Seer and Revelator from his book, Man, His Origin and Destiny page 127,
Among the spirit children of Elohim the firstborn was and is Jehovah or Jesus Christ to whom all others are juniors.
Mormon historian and elder Bruce R McConkie member of the Council of 12 Apostles: from Mormon Doctrine page742
And Christ was born into the world as the literal Son of this Holy Being; he was born in the same personal, real, and literal sense that any mortal son is born to a mortal father. There is nothing figurative about his paternity; he was begotten, conceived and born in the normal and natural course of events, for he is the Son of God, and that designation means what it says.
James Talmage, member of the Council of 12 Apostles wrote this: Articles of Faith page 421,
Jesus Christ is the Son of Elohim both as spiritual and bodily offspring; that is to say, Elohim is literally the Father of the spirit of Jesus Christ and also of the body in which 35
Jesus Christ performed His mission in the flesh, and which body died on the cross and was afterward taken up by the process of resurrec-tion, and is now the immortalized tabernacle of the eternal spirit of our Lord and Saviour.
Spencer W Kimball eleventh church president, (1973-85) Prophet, Seer and Revelator: taken from The teachings of Spencer W. Kimball on page 33
The principal personalities in this great drama were a Father Elohim, perfect in wisdom, judgment, and person, and two sons, Lucifer and Jehovah.
And Finally from Brigham Young the church’s second president (1847-1877), Prophet, Seer and Revelator – Journal of Discourses volume: 1 page 51,
If the Son was begotten by the Holy Ghost, it would be very danger-ous to baptize and confirm females, and give the Holy Ghost to them, lest he should beget children, to be palmed upon the Elders by the people, bringing the Elders into great difficulties.
As you can well see the persons that I have quoted are men whom the Mormon church holds in high esteem and whose word is considered to be weighty.
Consider this statement by Ezra Taft Benson, twelfth president of the Mormon church, Prophet, Seer, and Revelator:
There is only one man on the earth today who speaks for the Church. That man is the President of the Church. Because he gives the word of the Lord for us today, his words have an even more immediate importance than those of the dead prophets. When speaking under the infiuence of the Holy Ghost, his words are scripture.
I find this last quote rather interesting as it reminds me of when I was a Roman Catholic and we were taught that when the Pope was speaking ex-cathedra then what he said was divine and infallible. This is an interesting parallel don’t you think? Mormonism has a lot more in common with Roman Catholicism and Islam than most people think.
I have found amongst Mormons that what is considered as doctrine, that is, what has been voted on in General Conference and what is considered as tradition run hand in hand. As a matter of fact some Mormons consider the two as one, very much like the Catholic church teaches about scripture and traditions. These quotes above may leave many Bible believers angry. When I first read them my blood began to boil as righteous anger arose in me because they have dethroned Jesus as God and have brought him down to their level as a created being. All cults in one way or another do this to Jesus. They also in one way or another disparage the importance of the Cross. However I had to step back and put it into the correct perspective. These people are totally deceived. The spiritual blindness that is over them is so strong, that it is only by the power of the true Holy Spirit that they are able to be set free.
I know that there are readers out there that have loved ones who are caught up in Mormonism and I can assure you that they do feel just as afraid in trying to share with you what they believe. This can be turned into a golden opportunity for you to witness to them the real Jesus, but you will need to do a lot of preparation, and prayer beforehand so that you can present who Christ is with real Christian love. Let’s now look at the Bible and allow God’s Word to speak.
The crux of Christian-ity is Christ and the centrality of His gospel. If any fail to get this fact correct in their doctrine, then their gospel is no gospel at all!
Who is Jesus Christ?
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men. (10) He was in the world and the world was made by him, and the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own did not receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave authority to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Who were born not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or by the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (18) No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared [him]. — John 1:1-4, 10-14, & 18.
Jesus of the Bible is God in the flesh. He is the Word of God, who came to declare the truth, to die for the sins of the world and to lead many sons to glory. Jesus who is God has neither beginning nor end, he is eternal, which means he was not born or procreated by some other god. He is not a finite being that progressed into a god. He has always existed as God, past, present and future. This passage alone, with its clear teaching about the deity and eternity of the Lord Jesus Christ, portrays the Jesus of the Bible as a being superior to the Mormon Jesus who has a beginning, i.e. a finite start and who did not exist in eternity at any given point.
According to Mormon doctrine their God Elohim was once a man who, being obedient to the gospel principles of his god, attained godhood. This doctrine is known as “eternal progression”. It alone causes enormous problems for the Mormons in their view of Jesus as portrayed in scripture. They will acknowledge him as God. However, if asked when did he reach “godhood” especially in the light of John 1:1 they do not know or cannot give you an answer.
The crux of Christianity is Christ and the centrality of His gospel. If any church fails to get this key fact correct in their doctrine, then their gospel is no gospel at all! Isaiah the prophet gives us a view of who Jesus really is:
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name ImmanuelIsaiah 7:14.
The corresponding New Testament verse is Matthew 1:23 and it is interesting to note that the verse can only be translated that way, the reason why I say this is because even the JW New World Translation and Kingdom Interlinear translate it correctly without twisting it, so this is a good starting point to witness to them about the real Jesus and His true identity.
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with usMatthew 1:23.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government will be upon his shoulder: and his name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace — Isaiah 9:6.
He is called the everlasting Father, The mighty God, and the Prince of Peace, which are His divine titles. The Mormon church asserts that Jesus is Jehovah and that Elohim is God the Father. I have found verses in the Old Testament that use these names interchangeably, which Mormons have great trouble in explaining:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD:Deuteronomy 6:4.
This verse is known as the Shema, which the Jews recite each day. Here’s what it says in the original:
Hear O Israel the Jehovah our Elohim is one Jehovah.
Whenever “LORD” is in capitals it refers to the Hebrew Tetragrammaton – YHWH. The Jews, fearful of blaspheming the name of God, used “adonai” in place of the YHWH (the sacred name of God). The KJV translators used LORD in capitals to signify the name of God. This causes a Mormon an immediate internal conflict. Every Mormon that I have quoted and explained this verse to reacts the same way. The look on their face gives them away. It is a look of shock–horror in which they are unable to give an answer.
The verse says clearly to them that Jesus is their Elohim or Heavenly Father. That is one thing that a true Mormon cannot accept. To those who are Trinitarian there is no problem, but to a Mormon who is polytheistic (which they deny, but in reality are) it is a major problem.
There are many other scriptures which show the Jesus of the Bible to be superior to the Mormon Jesus, passages such as Hebrews 1:1-9 and Colossians 1:15 and 2:9.
He [Jesus Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creationColossians 1:15.
Does this mean that he is Elohim’s first born the Mormons claim?

Very few Mormons know Greek or Hebrew thus they do no know what the term “firstborn” (Greek ‘prototokos’) means. This Greek word signifies pre-eminence. In my KJV Greek Hebrew Study Bible the commentator Spiro Zodhiates says, “The other significant word is prototokos (4416) translated “firstborn”.
What it means in this passage is that Christ holds the same relation to all creation as God the Father, because he is above all creation.”
This position finds clear support in the second chapter of Colossians and is also very strongly endorsed by the Hebrews passage referred above:
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodilyColossians 2:9.
Compare Hebrews 1:3:
Who being the brightness [Gr. apaugasma apaugasma] of his glory [Gr. doxa doxa], and the express image [Gr. carakthr charakter] of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high (highlight added and discussed below).
Ritchie’s New Testament Commentaries on Hebrews entitled “What the Bible Teaches” has this to say on Hebrews 1:3 (page 21):
The word “brightness” is found only here in the NT. It is the word apaugasma, an interesting word, which is comprised of two words. The first, apo, is a preposition meaning “from”. The second, auge, means -brightness”. Apaugasma is therefore “a brightness from”; “a shining forth”; “an effulgence”; “a radiance”.
“Glory” (doxa), is an equally interesting word, but almost indefinable. The Oxford Dictionary has a most lengthy attempt at definition and scans the whole vocabulary for suitable explanatory words and phrases to give the meaning of glory. Greek lexicons too, find the same difficulty in defining doxa. It is exalted renown; honourable fame; resplendence; radiance; majesty; beauty; bliss; magnificence; light; splendour; aureole; exaltation. All these, and more, are necessary, to convey to us some little idea of that which is inscrutable. Glory is the out-shining of an intrinsic excellence. Christ is the effulgence of God’s glory. This is not a passive reflection but an active out-raying. Moses may reflect the glory and veil his shining face. But the un-veiled face of the Son radiates for us the glory of the God who dwells in light unapproachable (2 Cor 3:18; 1 Tim 6:16 RV). The Jew was familiar with glory. To Israel belonged the glory (Rom 9:4). The Shechinah, the visible glory, had dwelt in their ancient tabernacle and in their first temple. But the incarnate Son is the true Shechinah. In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
And again futher down the same page:
Such is the completeness, in Christ, of this revelation of the character of God, that this very word, character, is now used. The Son is the express image, the exact expression, the character of God’s substance. “Express image” is the one word charakter, and this is its only occurrence in the NT. It must be distinguished from “im-age” in 2 Cor 4:4 and Col 1: 15. The word there is eik6n, which conveys the double thought of representation and manifestation. “Christ is the visible representation and manifestation of God to created beings; the likeness expressed in this manifestation is unique and perfect (W.E.Vine). So our Lord may say, “He that has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).
The word charakter (cp. our English words “character, characteristic”) denotes an impress or stamp as on a coin or seal. An image on a printer’s die impresses on the paper its own features exactly. Originally, charakter came from a word, which meant “to engrave; to cut; to scratch; to mark”. It was, in fact, at first descriptive of the tool that did the engraving, then of the engraving, and then of the impress made by the engraving. It denotes the reproduction upon the metal coin, or upon the waxen seal, of the exact image of the features, which are engraved on the die or on the signet ring.
So is the Son the exact expression of all that God is. The substance, the essence, of God, is seen perfectly in the Son. This substance (hupostasis) is the reality, the essential being, of God. What God is es-sentially, is manifested in Christ.
This clearly and without argument shows that Jesus was not the offspring of some sexual union between Elohim and his goddess wife. It also shows again clearly that Jesus is unique in respect of creation because He alone has the pre-eminence. In other words He is very God of very God.
It is noteworthy that in regard to creation Mormon gods can only organise matter, i.e. they take something, which already exists and “create” something from it. They do not have the power or ability to create something from nothing! This is a problem for Mormon theology because if their God cannot create matter, then matter must be greater and therefore their god is subjected or constrained by that matter. According to Genesis1:1 God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing! The technical term is “ex-nihilo”. This is a point well worth knowing and using when witnessing to Mormons.
Is Lucifer (Satan) the brother of Jesus? Mormons say, “Yes”; the Bible says, “No!”
Mormons are blinded to the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The more that they advance through the temple the deeper the deception grows.
How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] are you cut down to the ground, who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see you shall stare at you, [and] consider you, [saying, Is] this the man that made the earth tremble, that shook kingdoms; [That] made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed its cities; [that] did not open the house of his prisoners? — Isaiah 14:12-17.
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD; You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you in the day that you were created. You [are] the anointed cherub who covers; and I have set you [so]: you were upon the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. You [were] perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, till iniquity was found in you. By the multitude of your trading they have filled the midst of you with violence, and you have sinned: therefore I will cast you as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you before kings, that they may behold you. You have defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trading; therefore I brought forth fire from the midst of you, it devoured you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you
Ezekiel 28:12-18.
The Word of God is true.
These two passages alone show that Satan or Lucifer was a CREATED being, a cherub or covering angel.
Is an angel superior to its creator? The answer of course is NO! Christ who is the creator of all is also the creator of angels, principalities and powers (Col 1:16). This is why everything in heaven and on earth and in the sea will bow to him (Romans 14:11, Phil 2:10). This is why demons bowed to Him and were subject to Him, see Matt 8:28-32, Mark 1:23-26, Luke 8:28 and Acts 19:15.
And when he came to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two demon possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one might pass that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, what have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? Are you come here to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine feeding. So the demons begged him, saying, If you cast us out, permit us to go into the herd of swine. And he said to them, Go. And when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the watersMatthew 8:28-32.
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Are you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of himMark 1:23-26.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, [you] Son of God most high? I beseech you, do not torment meLuke 8:28.
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?Acts19:15.
These verses show that demons knew Jesus and were subject to him.

Clearly the president of the Mormon church, Gordon B Hinckley’s testimony is based on a false premise i.e. that this Mormon Jesus of the new dispensation is real, exists and can save and for this he has no basis whatever. All of Hinckley’s prayers and those of his followers to this pseudo christ are in vain. Hinckley along with the 12 million members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints should face the eternal consequences of their false beliefs and evangelicals who confirm them in their false faith also endanger themselves to a doom confined to the very pit of hell.
Mormons are blinded to the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
The more that they advance through the temple the deeper the deception grows.
Please pray for these dear lost souls as they need to know who the real Jesus Christ is, not the one whom their church president Gordon B Hinckley believes in.

Footnotes:
*1 According to WIKIPEDIA( internet based encyclopedia) “hie” means “to go quickly; hasten”. The following are the words of one of the verses of this Mormon hymn: “If you could hie to Kolob in the twinkling of an eye, And then continue onward with the same speed to fiy, Do you think that you could ever, through all eternity, Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?”
