What a wonderful opportunity we have to preach the gospel today. The last few years have appeared as though we are really living in Revelation 6 as the Twin towers saw “peace taken from the earth” like never before. Communism never appeared as such a great threat, though we have lived in its shadow for as long as I can remember. Living in “fortress Australia” has allowed me to see this more clearly. Australians are a proudly independent people who see themselves as isolated from the world’s troubles, and their politicians preach it. I recall being told the things we heard so often happening in other parts of the world, “Will never happen in Australia.” Yet, today Australia finds itself greatly affected by the Twin Towers fallout, worldwide drought and famine, and the now global financial collapse. Spiritual Drunkenness

EDITORIAL COMMENT: As I read this article by Bill Randles the similarity is remarkable between this phenomena and the Gestalt therapist Fritz Perls' motto "Lose your mind and come to your senses" , which was absorbed as a mantra by the hippie movement of the 1960s-1970s. It highlights our concern at what is being unleashed in parts of the Church in the guise of "a move of the Spirit" yet disregards that we are called to be always loving God with ALL of our mind and soul, as well as our heart (Matthew 22:37-40). The True Church is being decimated while the false Church multiplies through Church Growth, sensational appeal to the so called supernatural and by other means. The most recent demonic expression of The Plague is manifest through Todd Bentley and his so called Florida Healing Revival, the latest disclosures about which reveal it as a conception from hell to take the “ministry” into expressions of violence. Every PLAGUE among God’s ancient people was caused by five things which Paul alludes to in 1st Corinthians 10:5-14 - LUST, IDOLATRY, IMMORALITY, TEMPTING GOD, and RESENTFUL MURMURING. AG-USA - Doctrinal Death Dilemma Assemblies of God was established originally as a fellowship of autonomous churches (assemblies) in voluntary association for the purposes of worship, evangelism and mission. Our founders and forefathers strongly resisted any denominational tag. They resented the application of the word, arguing that Assemblies of God was a movement not a denomination. Gradually, through the ambitions of carnal, self seeking leaders and an overemphasis on hierarchical structure, local autonomy has been over-ridden. National expressions of the denomination in USA, UK and Australasia and a number of other regions and countries, have effectively become fellowships of ministers not of assemblies. This inevitably leads to modern day Nicholaitanism<!--[if !supportFootnotes]-->[1]<!--[endif]-->, which in turn leads to modern day Baalamism<!--[if !supportFootnotes]-->[2]<!--[endif]-->. Dear brothers and sisters: I was deeply disturbed to hear that Frank Houston a SELFCONFESSED SEXUAL ABUSER was honoured. Those who honoured him are also sick. I am a victim of child abuse and even after all these years the scars are still there. When a child has been sexually abused their innocence is taken away, and they find trust to be next to impossible. They go through life surrounded by walls in fear of being abused in some way and taken for a ride. I gave my life back to the LORD after being backslidden for ten years, and even though I�m a new creature in Christ Jesus I still have trust issues which almost snap my heart in two.
