Israel: Is all the descendants of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. Also known as Jews , Jewish people, Israelites, Hebrews.
Not limited to the present political & national state in the Middle East, which is but part of the whole.
Not limited to the those who only adhere to the religion of Judaism.
Church: Believing individuals out of any nation (including Israel ) make up one new body.
The Bride of Christ. The church is not a nation (or denomination) and its citizenship is not of this world. Partaking already of the spiritual aspects of the new Covenant. Eph 2:15
Not foreshadowed in the OT. Matt 16:18. 1 Cor. 10:32.
Church Age: From Acts 2 to the Rapture. Gentiles:
Anyone NOT a descendant of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. A non-Jew.
Jew: = Israelites = Israeli = Jewish people = Israeli
Christian: One who has made a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ- only son of God.
The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. 1 Cor 15:1-4
Jewish believer is one who is ‘complete’ Called Messianic Jew = Hebrew Christian = Jewish Christian but NOT Messianic Judaism. Remains a member of the Jewish nation.
Kingdom of Heaven = Kingdom of G-d = Kingdom of God which has 5 aspects in its PROGRAM.
- 1..Eternal. Overall God is always in control
- 2..Theocratic rule over Israel. Finished 2 Chron 36
- 3..Spiritual. Started with Adam. Composed of all believers. In the heart of Saints. The church is part of this.
- 4..Mystery. ( Matt 13 / Mark4 / Luke 8 ) This aspect was not revealed until offer of Messiah King was rejected. Ends when new offer of Messiah King is accepted. The church is part of this.
- 5.. Messianic (Millennial). In the future & to be ruled by Messianic King. This aspect to be re-offered in the Tribulation.
Sin: Any thought or action that ignores God. Ignores God & His instructions to us, His created humans.
