In NZ the large former AoG church in Hamilton has withdrawn from the denomination. Others are considering similar action. What has happened in Elim and AoG cannot be condoned and to do nothing is to allow evil to go unchecked. HOUSTONS & HILLSONG Since CWM went public on the news about Pat Mesiti and Frank Houston a big debate has been raging among Christians in Sydney, with the secular media again getting involved. You can research some of this on our web site at .. a.../aog.html b... /archives/van2003 .html It has been one of the major topics on the CWM Forum Ray Hadley of radio 2GB ran a forum on Hillsong during the week of their big international Conference concentrating on the Pat Mesiti scandal. He suggested all is not as well with Hillsong as the PR machine is indicating and asked for comments. One of CWM's readers was the first on the line. During the programme someone quoted the CWM website for more information. Later Brian Houston admitted on the show that his father had been stood down, as he was guilty of sexual abuse. On Saturday July 13 the prestigious "Sydney Morning Herald" ran a story by their religious affairs editor Kelly Burke about the Hillsong Conference, which she attended on the opening night. Most of the article relates to the time spent by Brian Houston on taking up the offering from the 15,400 delegates. You can read the story at .../php_cwm/articles/art_art.php3?article=33 3. CWM CONFERENCE. The next Christian Witness Ministries conference will be held at Sneaton Castle, Whitby, U.K. during 21st to 25th October 2002. How come the church didn't inherit the disciplines, as well? -Others say that Israel is still firmly the 'wife' of Yahweh and the church era will end, when Jesus comes for His 'bride'. This open letter from a non-Christian believer by the name of David White is an outstanding piece of writing. BROWNSVILLE CHURCH HIT BY LIGHTNING [ Please note that this article is not from Christian Witness Ministries. This one is from, Vicki S, who was raised in the Brownsville church since childhood, and where "revival fires" have been burning since 95. Please keep the Brownsville saints in your prayers!! Subject: Church Fire! To: MrsDiPi@aol.com Hey Clo, Brownsville got hit by lightening and burned part of the sanctuary! So far, they have estimated it at around $400,000 worth of damage but that is an early estimate. That is not to even mention the wiring and lights as of yet. Lightening hit the rain gutter, which then acted as a conduit, and it jumped then hitting the "breaker room" or the electrical room that controlled all of the wiring in the main sanctuary. We sat outside from about 9:00 until 1:30 in the morning as the fire fighters worked to put out the flames. It was awful. So be in prayer for us. We have another big sanctuary called the "Family Life" building and we will have services in there until they get the damages fixed. Just wanted to let you know! UNQUOTE: CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? .....
