Read on at:- http://www.christian-witness.org/active/calendar/diarydates.html 4) False Apostles and Prophets in Norway APOSTLES & PROPHETS MOVEMENT DIVIDES CHURCH IN SCANDINAVIA Some time ago Philip Powell received a letter from a Norwegian pastor asking about David Cartledge (ex OZ now in USA) and a young woman who were promoting Peter Wagner's heretical views on end-time "apostles and prophets" in that part of the world. The young woman is Christine Caine who is associated with Hillsong, Sydney. (Do a "yahoo" search on "Caine Christine" to arrive at her site.) Already this teaching is beginning to divide the Pentecostal Church in Norway just has it has done in Australia and elsewhere. It works on a "pyramid" structure with the so called "apostle" sitting on top raking off the benefits, including in some cases financial benefits through a non biblical tithing system. CWM has been informed that at least one "pastor" in Scandinavia is "under" apostle David Cartledge. REACH OUT FOR CASH - In the October 2003 Mailer under the heading "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing" CWM listed a story from the Gold Coast Sun about people losing money through so called ponzi and other schemes. A pastor associated with Reach Out For Christ contacted Philip and objected to our publishing the story maintaining that it was false and eventually asserting that Queen's Counsel had been instructed to take legal action. It is rumoured that notable ministers and ministries in the USA are under investigation in respect of this sort of activity. In the current CETF (issue 28 - see above for down-load option) a certified accountant has issued a letter owarning about Churches offering "get rich quick" schemes. Be ware. We are presently investigating claims that the Joyce Meyer Ministry is under scrutiny in the USA for possible misuse of funds. More on that in the next mailer. A scheduled Knesset debate was deferred for two hours after engineers checked suspected cracks in a decorative ceiling situated directly over the government's table and the front benches. CWM is investigating the ramifications of this movie and has provided a more detailed response in the next mailer. [- Ed ] The authors (Richard Bennet and Virgil Dunbar) of this article present reasons why such a movie is disrespectful to Christ, a deception and a blasphemy against God. The crucifixion scenes in the movie actually move people away from the true saving meaning of the crucifixion of Christ. The subliminal denial of the Deity of Christ through the identification of a movie with Christ seduces people to talk about the sufferings inflicted on Jim Caviezel as if they were inflicted on Christ. This is idolatry. In addition it prepares many people to think of Mary as the one who offered Christ’s sacrifice – totally unbiblical. The rating has been challenged by the NZ distributors with a request to have it lowered. CWM does not support the application and has requested that the Review Board retain the rating at the present R16. We await the outcome. APRIL 7th 2004 The Censor's rating was lowered to R15 in New Zealand. 8) Remember the Toronto Blessings? Or would you rather not! Was it wholly laughter or was it Holy laughter? It has been 10 years since Satan first poured out this porridge on the church. Many were deceived by the Toronto Blessing Many continue to be deceived by the Toronto Blessing Many left their churches, over the Toronto Blessing Many had their ears of discernment dulled by the Toronto Blessing Many had them sharpened bythe Toronto Blessing If there was any blessing at all in it; Many of us back were forced back to the Word with the eyes and ears of the Bereans.
