2.. COURT USED TO SILENCE CRITICISM OF ISLAM Two Christian pastors have been taken to court by the Islamic Council of Victoria and three Australian Muslims after making critical statements about the Islamic faith on a website and at a seminar for Christians held in March last year. Article courtesy of Moriel Ministries. (Note at the time of sending this Mailer the case is proceeding in Melbourne Victoria with Daniel Scot and Catch the Fire yet to present their case. We hope to keep you informed Please Pray.) Read on at ./not_in_pubs/oct_mmDetail.html#6 3.. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE GOSPEL? Sometimes it looks like the Gospel and "feels" like the Gospel but under investigation it does not stand up to the Gospel. Its time we all contend for the Gospel once delivered to the Saints. It is not Grace "plus" or Jesus "Plus" that justifies. When doctrines are added that nullify and void the Gospel and make it of no effect then we must recognise it and overcome this spirit of ecumenism. FATHER OF "WORD-FAITH" MOVEMENT DEAD Kenneth Hagin, the man often referred to as the "father" of the so-called "Word-Faith" movement (WFM), died last month at 86 reports KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hagin moved to Tulsa from Texas in 1966 and eventually created a religious empire based upon controversial teachings many Christians call "heresy." The WFM teaches that Christians can essentially claim anything in the name of Jesus. This includes health and material wealth. It has often been called the "health" and "wealth" gospel and more derisively the "name it, claim it" or "blab it, grab it" doctrine. Read on at:-./not_in_pubs/oct_mmDetail.html#9 CETF 27 (November 2003) contains the second of a three part UN-MASKED series of articles on Kenneth Copeland who is heir apparent to Kenneth Hagins dubious throne. It makes for excellent information though sad reading from a Christian perspective. 5.. UNITE TO DENOUNCE TERRORISM, SAYS POPE Religions of the world should unite to denounce terrorism, since public opinion "could be tempted" to think that the acts of violence have a religious origin, says John Paul II. Anything to bring about a false unity, anything to deceive not only the world, but possibly the elect. Anything to lead to the antichrist and ultimate destruction. Read on at:-./not_in_pubs/oct_mmDetail.html#10 CETF 27 (November 2003) contains an excellent article on Marian Worship entitled Mary, Mary Quite Contrary. 6.. LATEST AUZZIE BIBLE VERSION NOW ON SALE. This is appalling and to think the otherwise good Anglican Arch-Bishop of the Sydney (Australia) diocese launched it is most disappointing. The Daily Telegraph 22/8/03 heading reads - "Heavens above, the Bible has been translated into Strine" - GOD SAW IT WAS BONZA! There is no difference between the Holy and the Profane.
